Terms and conditions
Making an online reservation is easy. After we have had contact via email and you have decided to book your tour, we need a copy of your flight ticket and/or a copy of your identity card/passport. As soon as we have received the copies, we will confirm your booking.
Deposits and payment policy
A deposit of (minimal) 50% of the total amount is required upon our confirmation. We need a deposit to book the hotels for your trip. Besides, we require a full payment before your departure. The fees that you have to pay for a bank transfer are on your account.
You have several options to complete your reservation with a down payment:
1. to our bank account in Indonesia (BCA, Bank Central Asia)
2. to our bank account in The Netherlands (ING, free of charge for all residents in EU member states)
3. to our PayPal account
4. via Western Union money transfer
Confirm you payment to us via email or fax (+62 341 324435). After we have received your payment, we will send you the final itinerary by email or fax.
If you cancel more than one week before the departure date of your trip we charge 10% of the deposit you made. If you cancel less than one week before departure we CAN NOT REFUND your deposit. That is because we use your deposit to arrange transportation, hotels and air tickets.
Refund of unused services
You cannot ask for a refund if due to circumstances (e.g. tired, weather conditions, natural disasters), or if you are not able to do the tour as according to the itinerary. No refunds or exchanges can be made for accommodations, meals, sightseeing tours, transport or any other services that are included in the tour.
Ijen Plateau / Helios Transport is not responsible for any loss, injury or damage while traveling. Additional expenses due to delays, accidents, natural disasters, political actions and unrest must be borne by the passengers. Passengers are required to have full travel insurance. Changing airline schedules and local conditions may affect the itinerary. If this occurs, we provide an adjusted itenerary.
Passport and visa
Your passport must be valid for at least six months after the date of entry in Indonesia. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are in possession of a valid passport and visa - if necessary - and all travel documents needed to travel in Indonesia.
A travel insurance is not included. It is the passenger's responsibility to verify whether his/her insurance company provides full coverage while traveling.
